Enchilada Torte

Ground beef enchiladas with cheddar cheese, onion, diced tomatoes, tomato sauce, chopped green chilies, and taco seasoning. Enchiladas are baked and served with sour cream, salsa, and guacamole.
Ingredients -

1 pound Ground Beef
1 Onion, finely chopped
1 (28 ounces) can Diced Tomatoes
1 (15 ounces) can Tomato Sauce
1 (4 ounces) can Chopped Green Chilies
1/2 package Taco Seasoning
12 Flour Tortillas
1 pound Cheddar Cheese, shredded
Sour Cream
Salsa
Guacamole

 
Preparation:

1. Preheat oven to 350 F.

2. In large skillet over medium heat, brown ground beef and chopped onions

3. Stir in tomatoes, tomato sauce, chopped green chilies and taco seasoning. Simmer 15 minutes.

4. Spread thin layer of meat mixture in large baking dish.

5. Cover with layer of tortillas.

6. Top with another layer of meat, then a layer of cheese.

7. Repeat layering, ending with cheese.

8. Bake 25 minutes.

9. Serve with sour cream, salsa, and guacamole.

Drain off excess fat from ground beef after browning.
